Active Release Technique (ART)
Extensive Training With Understanding Anatomy At A Mastery Level
Active Release Technique is the gold standard treatment for soft tissue injury and dysfunction. It is the first soft tissue technique that Dr. Rider invested in, and he brings extensive training and a masterful understanding of human anatomy to its use. ART addresses the following:
- Muscles
- Tendons
- Ligaments
- Nerves
- Fascial Restrictions
This all-encompassing technique is a fantastic tool to address nagging injuries and restore pain-free active range of motion.
What Is The Goal
Treatment for chronic overuse injuries.
ART treats overuse injuries by:
- -Restoring normal tissue tone and texture
- Increasing circulation to hypoxic muscles
- Decreasing fascial adhesion and fibrotic tissue
- Promoting active range of motion with less pain
Tissues commonly undergo microtrauma due to the repetitive motions of our daily routine. These microtraumas can be the result of exercise, working at a desk, waiting tables, artistic endeavors, and a host of other activities.
How It Works
Precise tension is applied to a specific muscle.
Dr. Rider assesses the soft tissue structures of a patient's body, then directs the patient to perform specific movements.
- Movements are specific to individual muscles.
- The muscle is then taken through its full range of motion with ischemic compression.
- These steps may be repeated 3-5 times.
Dr. Rider sought certification in this technique after receiving it himself in 2016. ART applied to his neck provided fantastic results, resolving chronic headaches he was suffering due to poor posture while studying.
Understanding Anatomy
This is easily the most crucial part in helping people get better faster.
As a chiropractor in Johnstown, Colorado it is my duty to demonstrate my expertise in the anatomy and physiology of the human body. Without this education, my practice would be the same as every other chiropractor. That just doesn't cut it.
