Facet Injury
Severe pain at end range.
A Facet Injury is usually an inflammatory response to tears or sprains of the facet capsule. Usually, there is a nagging, sharp pain that appears when you turn your head to the right or left. Facets are how each vertebrae connect to each other. When there is an injury here, the inflammatory response often causes local irritation around the area and unfortunately, near each facet, a cervical nerve is leaving the protection of the spine to go on about it’s job downstream to the extremities.
